Called It: the online social game for moments everyone sees coming

Called It is a private online social game where players predict the funny moments everyone sees coming before they happen.

Called It turns the moments everyone already notices into a private prediction game for friends, family, parties, and game nights.

I created Called It for the kind of moments people already notice when they are together: the person who says they are leaving and stays another half hour, the kid who asks for a charger, the adult who brings up the old story again, or the guest who says they are full and still gets dessert.

The game is simple on purpose. Start a private room, share the room code, and let people call the moments before they happen. No guest account. No payment. Just a shared room and a reason for everyone to pay attention to the little things that make a gathering funny.

What Called It is

Called It is an online social prediction game. Instead of answering trivia questions or playing through a long rulebook, players make calls about what is about to happen in the room, during the party, or around the event everyone is watching.

That makes it a good fit for family cookouts, football Sundays, game nights, holidays, watch parties, and friend groups that already have inside jokes. The game works because the prompts are familiar. Everyone knows someone is going to check their phone, fall asleep on the couch, ask for the Wi-Fi, or make the same joke again.

Why I built it

I like building tools and websites that make a real idea usable. Called It started as one of those ideas that felt funny because it already happens naturally. People are always predicting what someone is about to do. The game just gives that instinct a place to live.

It also shows the kind of project Baumbach Solutions can bring to life: not just a standard website, but a small interactive product with a name, a purpose, a room flow, and a public page that makes the idea easy to understand.

How it works

One person starts a room and others join with a code. The room can be built around whatever is happening: a family event, a watch party, a holiday, or a group hangout.

From there, players call the moments before they happen. The point is not to make the game complicated. The point is to make the room more fun by turning the obvious little predictions into something everyone can laugh about together.

Built as a Baumbach Solutions project

Called It lives at calledit.mymicrosite.org and includes a Baumbach Solutions credit for anyone curious who built it. That connection matters because the game is also a working example of how a small idea can become a polished online experience.

Some projects need a full business website. Some need a microsite. Some need a weird useful tool that does one thing clearly. Called It is in that third category, and that is exactly why I wanted to build it.

Try it

Try the game at calledit.mymicrosite.org. Start a room, share the code, and see who can call the moment before it happens.

Put this into practice

If this sounds like your website, start with the page that feels hardest to explain.

Send the current page, what needs to happen next, and what feels unclear.
